The Anypad is a portable yet fully-featured dispensing solution installed on an attractive tablet PC.
It provides generic lens demonstrations in 2D and 3D to aid the dispensing of higher specification lens designs and coatings.
Anypad incorporates revolutionary "actual" and "virtual" reality demonstration modes which enable you and your customers to compare the visual advantages of varying progressive lens designs according to near and far dioptric values.
The camera attachment sends a live image to the user screen over which the simulated effect of a progressive design is placed. When the patient moves the tablet to view a near, intermediate or distant object the effect of the progressive design on the "actual" image is simulated.
Using the same function the visual improvement of high base curve lenses in wrap frames can be simulated. The dispenser selects the desired base curve and dioptric correction and the patient can instantly experience the improved vision.
The "Virtual" vision simulation function detects the patient position using a reference jig attached to the patients chosen frame. Once initialized the system tracks the patients head movement and the "virtual" background images move in and out of focus according to the progressive zone the patient is viewing.
An on-board light sensor provides a simulated photochromic effect when the tablet is directed between a bright and low light source.
Future AnyPad development will see the inclusion of a "frames on face" function, further enhancing the benefits of dispensing on the move or at the dispensing desk.
AnyPad runs on the Windows 7 operating system.
